Bricks Finished & Fascia, Gutter Complete

Well after only 9 days, the bricks were been completed and they have done a really good job. Can't wait for the brick clean to happen so we can really see the final finish of the walls.

The fascia & gutter were also delivered & installed and they also look great! Can't wait for the roof to be up and finished now which is scheduled to happen next week.

Bricks have started

Went past the block today & as advised to us by our Site Supervisor on Tuesday, the brickies have been in and started the bricks! Very happy with the quality and job they have done so far. Also happy with the brick choice we made with the windows and sliding door colour. It is all taking shape now!!

Frames Finished

Met our Site Supervisor yesterday who gave us a progress report on our build. The frames have now been completed with the windows & sliding doors are in. Our bricks were delivered yesterday as well with the brickies due to be on-site Thursday to start!!

Frames Started

Got a call from our Site Supervisor today to introduce himself. He told us that the frames were starting to be put up today and should be finished by end of week.

Went past the block after work to have a look at what was done and was surprised to see how much they had already done in just 1 day! Was able to 'walk in' to our new home which was such an awesome feeling after so long looking at it on paper!

Frames Delivered!

Those nice blue steel frames we have seen around being built elsewhere were delivered today on schedule! They came on two trucks.... funny to see your house on the back of a truck! Can't wait to see them being put up and our house to take shape.

Termite Barrier Installed

Drove past today just to check on the slab & the Kordon Termite Barrier was being installed on the slab.... seems something happening almost everyday which is exciting ..... while the weather holds off!

Slab has been poured!

Weather has been pretty good to us considering the forecasts and the slab was poured today as scheduled! It looks awesome and our vacant block of dirt is officially no more!

Formwork Taking Shape

Thought we would check out our site tonight as one of the guys on the forum who delivers steel advised us that he had delivered it today!! (Thanks Jumbo)

Formwork looking good so far and can really start to see the house taking shape now. Slab pour is scheduled for Friday so hopefully the rain stays away enough for them to complete the formwork in the next 2 days and all ready for Friday.

Piering Complete & Under Allowance!!

Well after much anticipation & plenty of checking of the weather websites, our piering day finally arrived. All was good with the weather and after talking to our Slab Supervisor in the morning, a 1pm meeting time was arranged at the site for the piering inspection.

Was surprised & happy that we came under our 80 lineal metres piering allowance and actual piering came in at just under 74 lineal metres - 73.8 to be exact. Looking forward to some credit back which our CLO has advised should be sorted in the next couple of weeks!

We have pipes & a fence

Weren't expecting anything further to happen to the block until after piering (21st January) but thought we would just go around and have a look. We were very surprised to find that the plumbing had been completed today! Great surprise to see some progress especially when you don't expect it.

Now we wait for piering (weather permitting) on Monday :)

Our Site Scraped!!!!

Before the xmas break, got a call from our Slab Supervisor who advised that our site scrape was scheduled for this week. Went past tonight and it has been done! Very exciting to finally see some significant progress on the land after so long due to land registration delays. Scheduled to have our piering, plumbing and formwork completed around Monday 21st January.

Electrical Appointment Complete

Had our electrical appointment at the MJH MyChoice Studio Norwest today. Decided to get most (if not all) electrical work done through the builder as this would both save us time after handover if we were to do it ourselves and the fact that everything you do through the builder is included in warranty.

Extremely happy with our choices & like our colour selections, can't wait to see them in our new home :)
